BIO
Randall Byrd is a Genealogy Researcher and Family History Specialist with more than three decades of hands-on experience uncovering and preserving family legacies. His work is inspired by his uncle, Jerry Daugherty, who gathered family information from courthouses, churches, and archives long before the digital era. Randall now carries that tradition forward using modern genealogy platforms and digitized records spanning continents and centuries.
With a background in engineering and an MBA, Randall approaches genealogy the same way he approaches complex business problems: through evidence, logic, and disciplined analysis. He has built dozens of multi-generation family trees, manages numerous public trees on Ancestry.com, and has traced lines reliably back to pre-colonial America. In many cases, into Europe. His research focuses on the US, with extended research capability into Canada, the United Kingdom, Slovakia, and the charting of early American immigrant lines that follow his own family's ancestry.
